Aside from the glorious promotion of literacy, Purple Dragon Press seeks to find new and progressive ways of bringing reading material to as many as possible.
“Do you offer refunds?”
Absolutely. Just return your CD with the reason it didn't work. We can either return a new CD or give the cost of purchase.
“Why does my CD state I have more than one format of my book? Did I receive two copies?”
Purple Dragon Press always sends ebooks in two different formats. Our books arrive in both .pdf format, suitable for Acrobat Readers, or .txt format, a plain text file used by many palm readers. This is provided, at no extra charge, and is our insurance that you can always access your book.
“Do you accept submissions?”
Unfortunately, due to the number of current projects, we are unable to accept further work. This may change in the future and information will be provided on this site should we open doors for submissions.
"What steps do you take to create your books?"
"We search through many places to find interesting books for our audience. Once located, an etext will go through several processes. First, we format and adjust the manuscript.After creating a workable file, we perform various updating, formatting, and polishing steps. The end result is a well-formatted book that is error-free and ready to be enjoyed.
“What is with all the hype about formatting?”
Ebooks were an ideal invention, but have often been approached in a mislead manner. Reading on a screen requires many different specifications as opposed to simply reading from a book.
It requires special considerations for everything from font size to style, to even the amount of white space in between paragraphs. These are just a few of the design aspects addressed by our products.
“What is BROWSE?”
Browse is a component of Purple Dragon's books. It is an information platform suitable for our needs.
“Why does my ebook have an‘autostart,' function?”
The autostart feature is for your convenience. You can go directly to your book or enjoy the other information available. This is far better than having to open the disc on your system and browse through available files on the CD, hoping to find the right one.
“What browser should I use?”
Browse is tested on Mozilla and Internet Explorer, but should work on all similar internet browsing software.
